Son, Fall on Your Sword In his sermon, Jerry talks about the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. He makes the point that this Sword is both defensive and offensive & sites various Scriptures that support this notion. For me, the concept of falling on this Sword daily is novel, eye-opening, and satisfying. I cannot express how equally grateful I am to have sat under the teaching of Jerry Dodson and to remain under his tutelage via these recordings. On Sundays I remember often seeing him turn his little red recorder on and off, not realizing how important and precious that small act would be to me, and, I dare say, many others. In this sermon in particular, when Jerry begins to speak of Isaiah 53, Jerry is overcome with emotion when confronting Jesus' passion for the Father and for us. Do yourself a favor and do not miss this sermon.
