Peter's Ministry moves out of Jerusalem to Lydda and then to Joffa (Joppa). In Lydia Peter heals a man lame for over eight years causing many in the region to believe.
He is summoned to Joffa to help Tabitha (Dorcas). When he arrives she has passed away, but under the direction of the Holy Spirit he raises her from the dead.
Peter choses to stay at the home of Simon, a tanner in Joffa. The prejudice against tanners in those days was untoward. The occupation was considered unclean. They were not allowed to reside in cities.
Prejudice was rampant in Peter's time. Division amongst and between ethnicities as considered normal. In this lesson we break down prejudice and reveal God's plan to destroy prejudice and create unity despite our cultural differences.
