In our past few studies we have seen that God is the only true and living God whose subsistence (His being, His life, His existence) is from Himself. We have seen that God is independent of His creation (that is, He is transcendent; above and outside of it. And yet He is also immanent. (That is, He is present to, and active within His creation) He is a God who is near and not far away from any of us if we will seek Him in accordance with the truth of the gospel and the Bible which is the word of God. Last Sunday we studied the idea that God is infinite in all of His Being and attributes; without limits in His knowledge, wisdom and power. Infinite also His holiness and goodness, He is perfect is He in all of His Being and all of His works. Now, today, I would like you to consider with me the truth that God’s essence, His essential Being, cannot be comprehended by any but Himself.
