God is the One who often gives us time for repentance. He give us time to learn His way of new obedience, because He is patient. But we should understand that He will not wait forever. God has His own purposes and plans, and His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts. And therefore, we must learn to live to His glory while we can. A wise man will discern both time and judgment. The truth that I would like us to examine at this time can be put into a question. You might ask – Why is it so important that I be wise now; that I learn the wisdom of God and the Scriptures now? Well, our text gives us 2 reasons. The 1st is – So that you might understand that there is a right time and a right way to go about to do what God expects you to do. And the 2nd is –It will be to your lasting benefit, that you learn the wisdom of God and the Scriptures now, at whatever stage of life you are in. May the Lord now come and work in our hearts to receive these truths so that we will grow in respect to our salvation.
