Facing many years of infertility, out of her deep distress, Sarai seeks an alternate solution to obtain a child. This leads both Sarai and Abram in great and long lasting sin. The Answer for Sarai, and for women today, it to find hope in Jesus alone. So many of the Psalms help in this matter. God commends the church today to support and love women affected by such trials. Such help is centered in ROmans 12:15 - rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep, associate with the lowly, that is, those brought low in life by trials and suffering. What was God's ultimate blessing to Sarai in this situation? God completed all His holy will for her life. God did not say to Sarah, you remember that Hagar thing, I might have to change my plans. No, God blessed Sarah. He did not punish her for her sin. God does not work this way. God is rather at work in the lives of all believers santifying them to holiness.
