Before following Jesus, we need to know the potential hardships. In v. 59, we see the second consideration and understand the importance of urgency in following Christ. This is something we can't put off. In vv. 61-62, we find the third consideration and need to understand that there is no going back in our decision to follow Christ. Those who count the cost and follow Christ by believing in Him, will find He is worth it all!
