The implication seems to be that some of the Corinthian saints, thought to be strong in faith, were less vulnerable to falling into sin than their weaker brethren. Here he warns them, that though God had provided for Israel marvelously, yet they fell into sins that are so very common to man. Let every child of God take heed, no matter what his spiritual state might be, lest he fall.
