Spiritual eyesight is something to be much desired and specifically prayed for. Spiritual eyesight has very much to do with our hope and courage. Hagar was within close proximity of a spring of water, she was desperately in need of water (Genesis 21:18,19) yet didn't see it until "God opened her eyes". Nancy Speigelberg wrote poem as follows"Lord, I crawled across the barrenness to you with my empty cup, uncertain but asking any small drop of refreshment. If only I had known you better I'd have come running with a bucket." This is a repeat scenerio, people do not know God. Christians, people in Christ, are frequently not knowing Him better. God has much more to give than we are taking because we are spiritually dim sighted.
