Paul and Barnabus head out on their first missionary journey traveling from Antioch to Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. In Cyprus, they walk from one end of the island to the other preaching the Gospel. There they encounter a sorcerer called Elymus who was with Sergius Paulus, the proconsul in the region and governor of Cyprus. Paulus becomes a believer even in spite of the efforts of Elymas to dissuade him.
We also look at Paul's decision to change his name from Saul to Paul (which means "the least") and examine his first recorded sermon (v 16-43) after they leave Cyprus, traveling by ship to Perga and then by foot to Pisidian Antioch.
