“ Great Sermon! ” The counsel that Paul gives to awakened sinners, while foreign in our day, was the norm in the early 19th century and earlier and is completely sound. To examine this for ourselves, one need only go to the google library, http://books.google.com , and do a search on the term "awakened sinner." I have done so myself and have found passage after passage of the most careful advice given in books from a bygone day leading sinners out of the "slough of despond" to the Saviour for sinners. www.thereformedpastor.com/prep arat.html
