The church of Smyrna endured constant pressure/tribulation from Rome, poverty, and slander from the Jews; yet our Lord considered them very wealthy.
Pastor Bob reminds us that if the World hated and Persecuted Jesus, then we must be ready to suffer as well. Persecution is a test that separates the wheat from the chaff.
