Excerpt from the sermon: "Those of you who really want to be 'good' at being a Christian must never get tired or bored with practicing fundamentals. Do you get tired of hearing the same old thing in Sunday School or in the sermon? Do you get bored or let your mind wander when you go through the worship service or when we are praying together? Do you count the minutes until the sermon is over and you get to go eat lunch? If you do, it is because – though you might say that you want to become good at being a Christian – you quite honestly don’t mean it. You need to put the “fun” back in fundamentals." Paul repeats the major themes of the book of Romans in this text because he knows that Christians can never get enough of the basics. The fundamentals are our life. And they can be "fun" too.
