Sara Sneath, of the Willamette Week came to the defense of the Lovejoy Surgicenter abortion clinic. She arrived at the clinic with a video camera and stood across the street recording. She would not respond to conversation attempts. This video tells the true story of what happened that day. Ms. Sneath wrote a critical article about Beaverton Grace Bible Church’s ongoing abortion clinic evangelism ministry in which she quotes Allene Klass, CEO and owner of the Lovejoy Surgicenter, saying, “They’re punishing. They’re nasty. They’re mean. They are trying to intimidate and they are trying to embarrass.” The hypocrisy of Allene Klass’s accusations is apalling. The CEO and owner of Portland’s premier abortion provider, where babies (many of which are girls) are murdered and dismembered every day is accusing us of being “punishing,” “nasty,” “mean,” and “intimidat[ing].” We hold signs that tell the truth about what the clinic does. We speak truth to the men and women who come to the clinic, exhorting them to choose life for their little baby boy or girl. We preach the Law to expose sin and revive the conscience, and the Gospel to call them to salvation by grace through faith in Christ. This ministry is the basic expression of Biblical truth and love toward the unborn, their parents, and the doctors and nurses. Every Biblical pastor and church should be involved in this life saving, soul saving evangelism effort. Proverbs 31:8 says, “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause for all who are appointed to die.” Did the Willamette Week get the story right?
