Because of His doing signs many believed that Jesus must be sent from God. Many were excited about all that He was doing. They had their senses filled. John records a handful of Jesus' signs. But in his natural state man will not believe, even if he sees signs. Jesus did not trust in their belief. (Verse 24) He knew that by nature man is self-seeking and evil. The real miracle is that there are those who do believe in Christ. They are His true disciples.
