We ALL Serve Someone
"Because you haven't SERVED the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall SERVE those things that are opposed to Him, whom the Lord will continue to send against you, until you waste away in your sorrow, misery and grief." (Deuteronomy 28:47-48)
THE MESSAGE and MINISTRY of Grace
Delivered... FROM a slave of fear
TO a servant of faith (Luke 1:67-75).
One of my favorite sections of Scripture... and no matter what time of the year, it's always an in season word.
He says, "...the birth of Jesus was a fulfillment of a promise to [graciously] grant us that we, being delivered from hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life." Luke 1:74-75
What a comforting word. He came to deliver us FROM something, to deliver us TO something!!!
What did He come to deliver us FROM? FROM the controlling influence of all our enemies. What did He come to deliver us TO. TO a life of unashamed and unadulterated service of our gracious and glorious King.
What freedom and joy!!!
I love it... the JOYUS message of redeeming grace is that Jesus came to deliver us FROM something, to deliver us TO something!!! He delivers us from our enemies (which would include our fears and so much more) to intentionally deliver us to a lifestyle of faith and a lifetime of service...
I pray this word lands deep in your spirit, moves your heart and transforms your mind to be a Renewer, Refresher and Replenisher in God's kingdom today and all the days ahead... (3 John)
