Life, no matter what one believes, is full of realizing, readjusting and realigning what we know and believe. The big question for me is where does Jesus fit in this constant pattern for me? If I have no clue what He thinks and says about life, other than what others have said, He said, how can I really realize, readjust and realign what I believe, think and say, to what He has said about life and everything flows out of it.
Secondhand information will fail me... again and again, and leave me empty hearted and empty handed when I must give an account to the times I adjusted and aligned what I believe, think and say, without His input and insight on it. Psalms 10:4 says that those who are wrong about life and God are full of information and insight about life but God cannot be found in their way of thinking and living. He calls them "wicked" because they are not right about God and life, so everything about them, their thoughts and ways, are simply wrong.
I encourage you to never forget this... what God thinks and says about someone or something (we call this revelation from Him) will always, always, always be more important and significant than the something and someone in our life. If we settle for information, but fail to seek His revelation on it or them, all we will ever have is an incorrect perspective on a thing. This principle includes everything. And we're not going to give an account for it or them, but we will give an account for HOW and WHAT and WHY we THOUGHT, BELIEVED and ACTED on what we know about it and them. • AND information about something cannot be a substitute, or rewarded eternally
