SERMON INFO
This is a study on the 1689 Confession, Chapter 1, Paragraph 8. The Scripture is breathed out by God. It is God's speech. God breathes, the Spirit goes out, and the result is the Scripture. We will look at the various persons and ways that God's revelation was given to men in their being directly inspired by God in the writing of the Holy Scriptures. God is the Source of all Scripture and all of it is the product of His speech. It is the words that He has spoken. He sovereignly guided the writers thoughts, their research their memories, and even their personal quirks, in such a way that when they wrote down the Scriptures it was exactly what God wanted to be written down.
