The return of Onesimus to Philemon definitely left a void in the life of Paul. He was sending back a “beloved brother,” one who was actually like a very part of him (mine own bowels), and one who was profitable in the ministry for Paul. What a great guy to have around. Not only was a he a great servant, but he was “above a servant!” A Brother in the Lord! There is no higher calling in the world than to be considered a true Brother!
