Most of the time when God describes Christians in the New Testament, we're described in terms of being righteous and holy. I John 3:9 says "No one who is born of God will continue to sin." 2 Corinthians 5:17 says if you're in Christ you are a new creation. You are the righteousness of God. Romans 8:9 says you are controlled by the Holy Spirit. Romans 6 says you've died to sin. Why does God so often describe us as being holy and righteous when in practice, we fall into sin on a daily basis?
