We come to another stiff warning in Hebrews. The last such warning about falling away was in ch. 6, and it too talked about fields of thorns getting burned up. This warning is perhaps the most direct warning in the whole book, though, reminding readers that apostates who reject the perfect sacrifice of Jesus will be devoured by the fire of God's wrath, and that that's why you should not be an apostate.
