This was the Sunday morning message from Princess Chapel Church in Ashland, KY by the Pastor, Douglas Salyer. This message's main text was taken from short Epistle of 1 John 4:1-3.
The title of this message was 'THE BATTLE FOR TRUTH - PART-2.'
1 John 4:1-3 -KJV Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Â Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3Â And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
This battle that we are in mind is a battle for the minds, hearts and souls of mankind. And it all centers around truth.
Your belief system is connected to your faith, it govern and guide your purpose, your plans, and your practice in this great battle for truth.
The attack against truth begins with Satan's plot and ploy against Christ. Satan attacks the very heart of the Foundation of truth. He has attacked the foundation of truth by attacking the Person of Christ through:
1. Dualism - attacking the hypostatic union of the perfect God-man.
2. Modalism - by attacking the Triune God.
3. The Virgin Birth - disqualifying Christ as the substitution.
4. The Preeminence of Christ - by attacking His deity, omnipotence, and His Sovereign Preeminence.
