There is a need for us to bullheaded or unmovable on certain issues. The alternative to being stubborn is to give in, and that is not what we need to do when it comes to temptation. We can try to resist in our own strength but we will eventually fail. Each of us, if we are honest, can testify to having yielded to temptation. All of us need that Spirit controlled power that comes from God. Everyone faces trials, adversity, temptations, and tribulations it is a common, everyday, occurrence that every human must go through. How we respond is what matters. God will provide away of escape, but it is up to us if we take it or not. We can say no, and mean it; because God is trustworthy when He says He'll empower us to say no, He will do it. Why say no? Because temptations request is always negative; it may look positive but that's just a lure. The temptation may end up lying about us too, but that's okay because God will take care of us for being bullheaded toward the temptation. Let's ask God to strengthen us against temptation.
