In the 25th chapter of Matthew Jesus gives a clear picture of that final great day when he will sit on his throne and pass final judgment on every individual who has ever lived. The apostle Paul tells us that we must all stand before that great judgment seat of Christ. Therefore when Jesus lays out the absolute nonnegotiable requirements of entering into the kingdom of God it is the height of folly to ignore them. The new birth or regeneration is not optional. It is not for some Christians as though you can be a Christian without it. If we are faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ then this is the message we must take the world.
