Basically, it sketches for us the entirety of the Christian life. I know that some would consider it an anachronism to call Solomon a Christian and to describe Proverbs 3 as a description of the Christian, but when you look at the content of this chapter, you will see that the kind of heart-based, ethically rigorous, faith-driven and filial religious life it inculcates is unmistakably Christian. Let’s just look together at the four qualities of the religious life that Solomon teaches us here.
