In contrast to seeing a vision or dream, the false prophet claims to feel an impression from the Lord. Thus they say things like this: The Lord laid this on my heart. Or God told me in my spirit. Brothers and sisters when you hear this language, run! The man or woman is not a prophet! They ought not to be feared. (cf. Deut. 18:22).
