INTRO: In last messages talked about God’s silence. If I see right, God’s silence is a sign that He is waiting for the right time and the right messenger to come together to bring His message to man. We are not yet there, either in our town or our country. Maybe there will come a day when the Church can sing the song, “Lord, I’m Coming Home.” The first line says:
1. I’ve wandered far away from God, Now I’m coming home; The paths of sin too long I’ve trod, Lord, I’m coming home. Now notice that the one whom this song is written about is someone who has been with God. He has wandered far away from God. He was with Him, but he wandered away. Today, it is not just an individual, but the Church in general, that has wandered far away from God. When we leave God, we are wasting precious time, and there is only one way home; repentance. So the song writer says: 2. I’ve wasted many precious years, Now I’m coming home; I now repent with bitter tears, Lord, I’m coming home.
