They are taken out of the net, and an evaluation is made of them by the leaders of the church and the whole local church as to whether they are edible. Spiritually speaking, their being edible means that an evaluation has taken place by the fishermen, and it is determined whether they are a true Christian or not, and a decision is made as to whether they should be baptized and added to the church. This is the gathering the good into vessels; being baptized and gathered into the church, to be preserved and kept for the Master's use, in this life. This flows out of the Great Commission given to the apostles of our Lord before He ascended to heaven.
