Jesus Is The King
Because Jesus is the King, we must bow the knee to Him! We must recognize that He is the King (33-35) By listening to the testimony of others (33-34) By disregarding the unbelief of others (35) We must recognize that His kingdom is not of this world (36) A physical kingdom requires physical defense (36a) A spiritual kingdom does not (36b) We must recognize that the King bears witness to the truth (37-38a) Jesus was born a king (37a) Jesus was sent as a king (37b) Jesus bears witness to the truth as a king (37b-38a) We must bow the knee to the King! (38b-40) Finding no fault in Him (38b) Honoring Him as our King (39-40) Applications: Unbelievers: Come to Jesus, repent of your sin, and believe in Him today! Believers: Turn from your continuing sin today—rest in His grace alone!
