These days in the world's history have been planned, are being used, and worked out by God for His perfect purposes. In hearing and seeing the events going on in our world the believer must see them from the perspective of their relationship with God while continuing to look through the lens of Scripture. Three critical truths must be remembered. One, the world as we know it is a fallen world from God's perfect creation populated by sinful people doing wicked things in living out their rebellion against God. Two, God is sovereign in determining every detail in every area over His creation. And three, man who was created to be in a relationship with Him is individually responsible for decisions, choices, and the exercise of human will. Circumstances, social values, nor governments alter or amend God's will nor His truth as given in the Bible. The greatest test of the faith of the believer is often when the answer to the why question remains unknown or unanswered. To simply walk by faith, trusting God alone makes the why secondary to the matter at hand. More significant to God than the circumstances at hand which He controls is the believer's response to the circumstance.
