Although we as believers are not called to be Apostles or to be numbered among the 12, there are principles which we can derive from the Apostolic appointments which we can apply to our lives, as simple Christians, in order to see Christ’s kingdom expand and advance. These principles have to do with our faith and our responsibility as individual Christians in relation to those who are called into the ministry of the Word of God. If we grasp these principles we shall find that each of us will be able to help-on the ministry here in this church, and other churches. And together we will find the Lord is giving us much valuable work to do in relation to the salvation of souls of people around us. What were these 12 men appointed to, as Apostles? That is the question of the morning. We want to look, first, at the call related to this appointment. Then 2nd, we want to look at the ends for which this appointment was made. And then 3rd we want to look at the diversity of the persons chosen in these appointments.
