There is only one Christian view on creation. There is no Christian view of Genesis other than the view of the Lord Jesus Christ. You can't call Jesus your Lord and reject your Lord's view, your Lord's position, your Lord's hermeneutic, your Lord's commentary on Genesis. Jesus provided His followers with an inspired, inerrant, preserved divine commentary on Genesis. With it He provided the foundation of the Christian worldview and the singular authoritative interpretation of Genesis as the literal account of God's creation of the heavens, the earth, and all life in it over the course of six literal days. Simply stated, if you don't hold Jesus Christ's position you don't believe Jesus, you don't hold the Christian position on creation, and you have rejected the foundation of the Christian faith and worldview as a whole. It's a dangerous thing to call Jesus your Lord and reject His divine commentary on creation and the books of Moses. Jesus said, "if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words" (John 5:46-47)?
