Very encouraging! A lot of times, even as believers, we feel as if God has distanced Himself from us because of our current failures and many sins. We feel unclean and unworthy and we know from experience that we sin daily and even our best efforts come far short of what we think will please God.
Isaiah 59:1, 2 "Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
The above is how we often feel, but the LORD is not speaking to believers here. See the verse below also:
Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."
Note the "for mine own sake." I suggest that anyone who confesses and believes in Christ and yet feels like God won't hear their prayers listen to this sermon carefully. Don't believe the devil - we HAVE access to God already and at any time. Access to Him was purchased already by Jesus Christ.
