In Luke 6:46 Jesus ask's the question to all the people. "Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and not do what I tell you?" This is a very sharp rebuke, and the people knew it. You call me Lord as master, and yet you do not submit to me as Sovereign. It is a matter of Submission and Obedience. Jesus means everything to that Christian and they would give up anything for Him. They will forsake their sin and themselves. They will want to please God because they are grateful that God has looked down upon their lowly state, He saw them in their wretchedness, and their sin and He chose to save them. As a result of that gratefulness, they will begin to grow in holiness and exercising of the fruits of the spirit because the Spirit lives inside of them and pours out grace and mercy and love and joy and extinguishes anger and bitterness and malice and envy and strife.
The greatest evidence of Christianity is that you love Christ and you always do and will love Christ. It's not a conditional love, It is borne out of truth, and the hearing and the study of God's Word, as God's Word is applied to your heart by the Holy Spirit.
You are so amazed and overwhelmed at who God is and what Christ has done for you. You see your wickedness in regeneration, your depravity through the illumination of the Holy Spirit, and you see what Christ did for you and you fall in love with him and you want to follow him you want to be holy as He is holy. He becomes precious to you and you will do what he says because he is your Lord.
