These commands are given to Timothy personally and for life of the church. In this message we therefore look at commands for victory during times of great trial: 1. We must be endued with power through the grace in Christ (2:1 - "be strong..."). 2. We must entrust the truth to faithful brethren (2:2 - "the same commit thou..."). 3. We must endure problems (2:3-6 - "endure hardness..."). 4. We must examine the principles by which we are to live (2:7 - "consider what I say...").
