If you are looking for some "deep" exposition, this could be it. In addition to covering the differences between how the Pharisee and the Publican approached God, description is given to the amazing detail involved in Temple sacrificial worship. Many subtleties involved are expounded, explained, and clarified.

What a blessing! I have been a pastor for nearly 40 years. Nearly all I am as a gospel preacher is the result of God's gracious work through two faithful men. Dr. Grier was one of those two men. As a student at Cedarville College in the mid 70's, he was my philosophy professor. His class lectures always had a bit of preaching, and his preaching always had a note of serious academic study. But what was found in both was love of and focus on the Lord Jesus Christ. This sermon is no exception.
Dr.Grier is gone from this world now, but, "He being dead, yet speaketh." And the Lord has used him, once again, to bless an unworthy sinner's heart.

Something Everyone Should Hear! Brother Grier, thank you so much for this wonderful faith bulding sermon. Truly the Lord God Almight sees the Blood of the Lamb and what wonderful confidence even the worst of sinners have in trusting in Jesus who willingly shed His blood for us.
