The Lord's Blessing to Isaac THE BIBLE'S STORY: Isaac Inherits the Promise. 3 Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 "And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 "because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws." Genesis 26:3-5
Last week we considered the testing of Abraham. He who was to be the Father of believers from all the nations and families on the Earth. One of his offspring would be the one through whom God would provide the Redeemer and Savior of all believers. Thousands of years would pass but God's Word and Promise would not fail. The Seed of the Woman who will CRUSH the Head of the Serpent would one day be born… that of course would be CHRIST the Lord! In today's passage we see Gods interaction with Isaac. He was the son of promise and heir of the promise. The promise that one of his offspring would become the Savior of the world. In the fullness of time God would send forth His Son to redeem those who were under the law!
