Now the Lord had said to Abram:
"Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Genesis 12:1-3

This morning we consider the Call of Abram. Of all the individuals introduced in Genesis 1-11, the Gospel promise would be fulfilled through the offspring of Abraham and Sarah. Of all the nations and families on the Earth, Abraham and his descendants God would provide a redeemer. Thousands of years would transpire but God's Word and Promise would not fail. The Seed of the Woman who will CRUSH the Head of the Serpent would one day be born… that of course would be CHRIST the Lord!
