God is to be worshiped. How He is approached in worshiped, how He is to be regarded in the rest of life, and who He is believed to be are of the utmost of importance to every single person. There is responsibility and there will be accountability. A careful, thoughtful, and prepared heart and mind, are all necessary for approaching God. The heart that approaches God with the right attitude will be humble in spirit, teachable and attentive to the Spirit of God who leads through the word of God. Just as we must take the word of God seriously, so to we must take serious what we say to the Lord. The casual, prideful, thoughtless approach to God will never be acceptable as worship and in effect, be an affront to God who is holy and worthy of praise.
