Torture: Sin of Murder It should be noted that torture is really the sin of murder, or rather, attempted murder since torture involves inflicting suffering upon persons with the intent on compelling speech or action by the victims. As we know, Commandment 6 of the Ten Commandments outlaws all forms of murder, including this sin of murder called torture.
