The book of Revelation gives the chronology of the eternal kingdom promised in the Old Testament by the prophets. Being described as the new heavens and new earth connects what is to come with what we know of the heavens and earth today. But what we know is riddled and corrupted by sin so what will be with all the effects of sin removed they will be far different from what we have experienced.
