THE BIBLE'S STORY: The Flood Pt. 5 20 ¶ Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. 22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease." Genesis 8:20-22
This Lord's Day Pastor Randy continues a Reformation Day series on The Basics of Bible History, or THE BIBLE'S STORY, a survey of the major events that shape our understanding of the Scriptures and our place in the the world in which we live! All of history, both within the pages of Scriptures (and without) fits into this unfolding story of Redemption and are on the way to the final conclusion of God's purpose and plan. My basic approach is what we read in the Word we should see on the world. As we return to our study of the Flood we come to what wet might call the epilogue or consequences of the flood. In todays study we come to both the rainbow and command of capital punishment. The post flood world will not be allowed to devolve like the last world.
