DEPTHS OF SATAN: God's children far too often take for granted eternal matters. The "depths" refer NOT to false doctrine and wicked sin but to church ministers and congregations approving things that should not be sanctioned. Satan wins when churches endorse things against God and matters that God is against. A hard-to-cross barrier exists when attempts at spiritual dialogue are made with them. The "mystery of iniquity" (2 Thessalonians 2:7) clouds the minds of believers and unbelievers. Gnostics in the early church taught that men must know some obscure matters. They needed a secret knowledge that only they could supply. They desired to make Christianity into an elaborate philosophy and theosophy. They blinded the minds of unbelievers to darken their understanding of the gospel of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. On another ecclesiastical level, the depths of Satan are seen in the infiltration of "Christianity" through things like Easter bunnies, tooth fairies, psychic counseling, Ouija boards, satanic video games, rock 'n' roll "Christian" music, etc. This infiltration, coupled with more general items: the New Age movement, pagan holidays, and worldliness, leaves most Christians wondering if anyone has not been affected by Satan's master plan.
