Glory is a slippery thing. If you seek your own it will create division and be far from glorious. Jesus gives glory—full of grace and truth from the Father, and this creates one-ness—like the Father and Son have. This is so noticeable that the world can see it; they can see we are being loved by God. Key to all Jesus is about is that we belong to God—above everything else. He brings this about by dedicating himself to the Father. He goes to the Father in our name and feels the curse of our fall—but he brings us to the Father! Let us all pray that we will really see this giving, and find that we indeed are God’s gift to Christ.
