Our study of the Five Points of Calvinism continued with this study from the Gospel of John 6:44,45. The explicit teaching of Scripture should always control our understanding of the doctrines of grace. There are passages which on an implicit level might seem to pose a difficulty to these explicit passages, but in reality are to be understood in light of them. For instance just because in the well meant offer of the Gospel God calls and commands all men everywhere to repent, that doesn't mean they have the capacity. John 6:44,45 state explicitly that only those whom the Father draws can come to Christ. We're saved because wills and accomplishes our redemption. Praise be the the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
