When God wants a job well done He always uses a moral minority. We live in a divided or opposed world. We want everything to fit in box A or B, option 1 or 2. Fight or flight. Black or white. Left or right. But the Bible is filled with unexpected, Hidden options. In this two-week series, "The Hidden Option" will explore how God can take seemingly impossible situations and use them for his glory. Our God is bigger than just two options. Jesus is the lion and the lamb. God is completely just and He extends grace. Those things seem like impossibilities, but they are actually Hidden options. By learning to find Hidden options, you can become a better spouse, a better employee, a better friend, and even a better follower of Christ. The message is this: The Master's minority is more important than the immoral majority. You know, we might could do more as a church with fewer members if we had better members. Gideon says, "Everybody line up now. We are going to hand out the battle gear." Gideon says, "Alright, everybody gets a horn and a jug and a torch." Here they stand. They have a horn to blow. A jug to break. A torch to burn. I get to thinking what is that ram's horn? To me that reminds me of our witness. The trumpet is our witness. The clay jar is our weakness. The only way these clay jars could be any blessing at all is they had to be broken. Before those jars could be a blessing they had to be broken. That's true for every one of us. God will never make a blessing out of us until we are broken.
