Rev. Douglas Kuiper Daniel 2:36-45 Edgerton PRC 2/14/16 PM  Daniel 2 is significant both as regards the kingdoms of men and the kingdom of God.  For this reason, our text is of deep interest to us. Daniel: God’s Antithetical, Indestructible, Triumphant Kingdom (4) Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream Regarding God’s Kingdom A. Underscoring Its Antithetical Nature. a. The dream and its interpretation underscores that the kingdoms of men and the kingdom of God are necessarily, inevitably antithetical. b. This reality of the antithetical nature of these kingdoms is underscored by the fulfillment of the prophecy imbedded in this dream. B. Emphasizing Its Indestructible Character. a. In contrast to the kingdoms of men, the kingdom of God is indestructible - it cannot be destroyed. b. This is a word of comfort and encouragement to true believers everywhere. C. Prophesying Its Triumphant End. a. Not men’s kingdoms, but God’s, will end triumphantly. b. This also is encouraging to us who look for the coming of God’s kingdom.
