This sermon series presents the historic Protestant (that is, Biblical) interpretation of the Book of Revelation, rarely preached today.
If we were living at almost any other time than now, esp. from the Protestant Reformation in the 1500s almost all the way through the 1800s, there would be little confusion about what the mark of the beast means. When you read the commentaries of the 19th, 18th, 17th, 16th centuries and some even earlier, written before the Reformation, they are almost unanimous in their interpretation. It is only in relatively recent years that we have been bombarded with a flurry of fanciful, not to say crackpot, ideas of what the mark means. Today every claim contradicts every other claim. It's almost as though Satan is trying to make Christians look like babbling idiots. You don't suppose he would do something like that, do you?

Looking at History Excellent teaching and the Reformed way of observing Vatican Rome's connection to Pagan Rome and its idolatrous gods. The Beast of the papacy in Rev 13, and how we can see the prediction validated in the Roman Catholic church. Thankyou Mr. Mencarow.

Protestants & the Mark Of The Beast (666) It is very good to hear classic Protestant (Historicist) preaching on the mark of the beast, in a day full of fanciful, frivolous and fallacious Jesuit-based Futurist and Preterist interpretations among many "Protestants." For many free resources defending the classic Reformation teaching on eschatology please see http://www.swrb.com/newslett/f reebook/eschatol.htm .
