Reply to Alfred's 2nd Supposition Well, at least you're willing to say it's your "opinion." I commend your honesty, and heartily claim this opportunity to remind you that your firm opinions are rather "Reubenic" in the face of Scriptural explicits (Genesis 49:4a).

Reply to Alfred's first supposition Alfred, come now. You are just providing more material for my commentary. If there is nothing but Jewish Christians in Revelation 12, then you have nothing but Jewish Christians being accused by the dragon (12:10), washed by the blood of Christ (12:11), and keeping the testimony of Jesus (12:17). On the other hand, to say that the woman is Israel (12:6) and the seed of the woman is Israel (12:17) seems pretty unnatural.

Great Sermon! OH I forgot 1 John 5:3 In my opinion John is referring to Mark 12:29-31, I will start with 1 John 5:2 By this we know the love of the children-(love your neighbor as yourself) and when we love God-(MK 12:30) the great commandments. All children of God, Jew and Gentile should keep these. But, sadly to say in this flesh we fail more often than not at these.

Great Sermon! 2 yrs late, made up I dont think so, you can called them what ever you prefer, saints or trib saints, the point is they are saints in the 7 yr tribulation period. The question remains are they the remnant of her seed (Israel) or church saints. Rev 12 and Dan 7:18, 21-22 is pretty clear, he referring to Jewish saints. That was the point I was trying to make, But, if you want the church playing a role the 7 yr period, you have squeeze them in somewhere

Reply to Alfred You have made up the whole "Tribulation Saints" designation. Let us remember that even we believers are to keep the covenants in some measure (1 John 5:3). Furthermore, you have said the 144,000 were evangelists. Thirdly, you are mingling letters to churches in chapters 2-3 with the world-wide narrative of chapter 13. John never uses the word "church" in a world-wide, universal sense as Paul does.
So...that is three things, Dear Alfred, that you have invented for this passage. I remain available to be instructed by the Scriptures. Thanks for stopping in.

Great Sermon! Rev 12:17 is referring to Jewish remnant who keep the Law and Trib-Saints and/or 144,000 Jewish evangelist who have the testimony of Christ. Also, REV 13:7 saints also refers tribulation saints, I believe. Also you will notice VS 9 if any man have an ear, let him hear. Church is not mention, all the other times it is "what the Spirit says to the church". The church is not here.
