When we speak of honoring fathers here this morning, we are aiming to honor those godly men who have tried to be wise and holy in the way that they have governed their family. They are those men who have lived their lives to God, first and foremostly, and they have attempted by the grace of God to order the way of their family aright as well; that God might be honored and glorified by all their family members. So this morning we want to think about Fathers being the glory of their children. 1st of all – Fathers are the glory of their children when they train them up in the way that they should go. 2nd – Fathers are the glory of their children when they hold them to that training. And then 3rdly – Fathers are the glory of the their children when their children grow up and do not depart from their teaching and the training which they received.
