Mysteries Unfolding — Tyre, Ephraim, Babylon, Jerusalem
We continued our concise and ongoing study rooted in both older and newer testaments, as we journey through Revelation, looking at world history, fulfilled prophecies and eschatology. Daniel gives us much wisdom and insight on things behind us, things ahead of us and the Hope of looking up right now. All these truths will help us live in the light of His promised return.
We explore Isaiah's insight on Tyre and can see how close in parallel it runs with Revelation 18. For God has been known to describe His people as nations for whom they are reflecting in their harlotry. We can see this in Revelation 11:8. A few other passages to dig into. (Hosea 9:13 ; Ezekiel 26, 27 and 28 ; Jeremiah 3)
The nation prized and treasured its place, temple and facade before the nations of the world more than they did their relationship with God. This is why God was so animated in His messages to Ezekiel regarding Jerusalem.
We often are led to look back to what God said, to understand how to look ahead, to know how live in these last days looking up — History, Prophecies and End Times.
